What does it take to win a hair competition? Larisa Love, Kien Hoang, Sandra Humphries, Andrea DeLeon and MODERN's Maggie Mulhern just spent the better part of today judging Goldwell's Color Zoom Challenge and have the inside scoop. "I am in awe of the entries," said Hoang as the judging wrapped up. "This was incredible."

The judges (minus DeLeon, Vice President of Marketing, KAO, USA who had to leave early) met on the balcony off the penthouse of the Goldwell/KMS Academy in the Meatpacking district of NYC (where the national leg of Color Zoom was held) to chat about the entries and to share thoughts on competition best practices. If you are ever entering a competition, this is a must!
